Sweeney Todd was the Canadian glam rock band in the 1970s.

A band, formed within Vancouver, British Columbia, originally consisted of vocalist Nick Gilder, guitarist Jim McCulloch, bassist Budd Marr, keyboardist Dan Gaudin & drummer John Booth. Their 1st lone, "Roxy Roller", became a #1 hit within Canada, however Gilder & McCulloch later left the band to pursue solo careers. (Gilder later experienced the hit by having "Hot Child in the City".)

Clark Perry was brought within to replenish Gilder in vocals, & Pass over Prest replaced McCulloch in guitar. Perry didn't function out, notwithstanding, & was replaced in two or three months by Bryan Adams.

A recently lineup recorded Sweeney Todd's second-year effort, Whenever Wishes Were Horses. Still, that album was stillborn, & Adams left a band. A b& attempted to carry within sustaining Chris Booth in vocals (and Grant Gislason replacing Prest in 1978), but broke higher prior to recording any farther albums.
